About this deal

The Brooks Adrenaline GTS is going to grow in popularity as Brooks got rid of it’s two other stability models the Ravena and Transcend. So it’s a good thing that it has many years of very happy runners behind it. It’s definitely a firmer daily trainer, to help provide that necessary support for overpronation. 👉 Saucony Guide

Like another well known running brand (New Balance), Saucony started it’s first factory in 1898. And by 1910 they were making running spikes…but few people were running or even looking for running shoes, so it wasn’t until the 1970’s that they started to grow. A foam midsole with a 12 mm offset provides a firm, yet basic cushioning for the road. If a no-frills running shoe is all that you need, it’s hard to go astray with the Cohesion 15. However, Saucony did not stop there. Admittedly, while many of their successful products take inspiration from the other industry players, Saucony has found a sweet spot between flattery (of the imitation kind) and purpose-driven innovation. In 2020, Saucony introduced a completely new range of shoes, the Endorphin series. Consisting of the Pro, Speed and Shift, the Endorphin series is a complete running shoe rotation meant for preparing, training and racing long-distances. Wherever the Saucony Ride goes, the Guide follows. The Guide 15 is the ’stability’ version of the neutral Ride 15, just like how the Brooks Adrenaline GTS is for the Ghost, or the Nike Structure for the Pegasus. The Hurricane 23 has more rubber in the outsole, which helps with traction. Last year’s model had a crystallized rubber throughout and more durable rubber in the key impact zones. This year they got rid of the crystallized rubber and used full-blown rubber throughout. This helped with durability. You’ll be able to get more miles out of the Hurricane 23 than the 22s. Unfortunately the newest model also gained a few oz for them to put in more features. So…you’ll have to decide if it still feels as fast. Determining when to replace running shoes, of course, all depends on your gait, weight, and whether you run mostly on trail or road. Fit

While I wouldn’t call it bouncy after spending time in the Nike Vaporfly, I would say it’s a shoe that I absolutely turn to for longer runs. I know that my feet and legs are going to feel great from getting just the right amount of cushion without losing a lot of energy to something too plush. The Saucony Ride is Saucony's take on a lighter high mileage running shoe that is slightly less focused on comfort compared to its older sibling, the Saucony Triumph. Saucony Ride 16 is lighter, more agile and more responsive. This shoe does feel firmer, which is normal for a stability shoe with the guiderails that are trying to prevent your foot from falling inward. From Brooks Ambassador @sc_re_am I was first introduced to Saucony with their original Kinvara in 2009. I stayed with that shoe for over 5 years, enjoying each new model and the fact that it made my IT band feel so much better. Not much has changed on the Kinvara 13. It shares an identical midsole and outsole with the outgoing model, so nothing has changed from a ride standpoint. Our detailed review of the Kinvara 13 is here.

BUTTTT….. I’ve also spent a lot of time in various Brooks models, so truly I like both brands for something different.
